DOG SPORTS & ACTIVITIES

SLODOG provides a variety of activities to share with your dog from conformation which shows off the breed to a whole collection of action activities independent of breed.

Obedience and Rally Obedience prepares the dog-handler team for socializing the dog as well as lays the foundation for other dog sports. Agility and Flyball are the most action oriented and require a very tight link between the dog and the handler, while Nosework and Herding take advantage of the native instincts of the dog with the handler playing a support role. Run-Throughs are informal meetings where SLODOG members get together, set up courses to practice various activities, and critique and assist each other. Break-Release is anytime when dog and handler let their hair down to relax and enjoy life.
